Shongwe Oasis

Overview

Shongwe Oasis is the first adults-only lodge in Victoria Falls, and it feels like a proper pause in the middle of town. Nineteen rooms sit in tropical gardens and teak trees, gathered around a sit-in infinity pool. There is a jacuzzi, an on-site spa, and an open-air restaurant and bar when you do not feel like going out. You are about two kilometres from the waterfall. Rooms come as doubles, twins and triples. The honeymoon rooms add a private outdoor shower as well as an indoor bath and shower. Each room has a private veranda looking into the garden, air conditioning, and a soft king or twin setup depending on the room you choose. Chef Jason looks after the kitchen, using local ingredients in a European style. Breakfast is served on site, and dinner is worth staying in for. The spa does massages, including couples treatments, plus hair and beauty if you book ahead. Next door is Shongwe Lookout, which is its own lodge. Oasis guests can use its lookout tower for sunrise and sunset views toward the spray. If you want to stay at the tower itself, book Shongwe Lookout Guest Lodge, not Oasis.
