Okavango Delta

The Okavango Delta is the kind of place safari brochures are written about — a 15,000 km² inland river delta where the Okavango River fans out into a maze of channels, lagoons, and palm-studded islands before disappearing into the Kalahari sands rather than reaching the sea.
