Livingstone Day Trip: Falls & Elephant Café

Journey Overview

The Falls look different from the Zambian side — closer, wetter, and from a completely different set of viewpoints. This day trip crosses the border to give you that perspective, then adds something most visitors never get to: time spent walking alongside rescued elephants at a dedicated sanctuary, learning about each animal's story from the keepers who know them best. We handle the border logistics so you don't have to think about them — transfers, crossing assistance, and timing are all built in. The day balances the grandeur of the Falls with something more intimate: a slow walk through the bush with elephants, finishing with the chance to feed them and hear about the conservation work behind the sanctuary. It's a different kind of day, and one that tends to stick with people long after the trip ends.

Day 1

Victoria Falls & Zambezi River

The day begins with a border crossing into Zambia (we manage the logistics and timing), followed by a guided walk along the Zambian side of Victoria Falls — a vantage point that puts you remarkably close to the water and offers views you simply don't get from Zimbabwe. From there, you'll head to a nearby elephant sanctuary for the Elephant Café experience: a guided walk through the bush alongside rescued elephants, time to feed and interact with them under the guidance of their keepers, and an introduction to the conservation story behind the sanctuary. It's an unhurried, hands-on encounter rather than a quick photo stop. The day wraps with the return transfer and border crossing back to Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, with all logistics handled along the way.
